Certain countries have a de minimis value, below which duty and tax do not apply. However, Ecuador does not have a de minimis value so your package from the United States could be subject to duty and tax.
These charges may be assessed by your local customs or tax office. We like to remind our members to budget accordingly. Sometimes Ecuadorian tax is due upon delivery of your parcel.
Ship7 offers shipping services that do not include duties, taxes & customs processing fees. Ship7 members will be responsible for paying any charges, including those that are due when your packages are delivered. Meanwhile, we are constantly working on providing our members DDP (Delivered Duties Paid) services for certain countries (where country’s customs processing systems are automated and have pre-set rules for calculations). When selecting shipping options on Order Checkout page, please check whether your shipping service is a DDP service or not.
